T20 Blast, also known as Vitality T20 Blast or Twenty20 Cup, is a T20 league played in England. English players are mostly allowed to participate in this tournament. It was introduced way back in 2003 when no one really cared about the T20 format of the game. However, the T20 format has now become the most popular and is all set to be included in the Olympics as well. England’s T20 Blast probably served as the inspiration for many T20 leagues around the world, including the Indian Premier League.

Unfortunately, England Cricket Board (ECB) missed out on the opportunity of developing and marketing the T20 Blast as the biggest and most prolific T20 tournament in the world. This is something which was done very well by the organisers of the Indian Premier League. Still, T20 Blast is a good tournament with a lot to look forward to ever year.
